Deep & Remote Diving Operations
Gulf of Guinea Marine Services focuses on high-risk, deep-water, and remote diving operations, prioritizing safety, compliance, and operational efficiency in demanding conditions..
Mobile Recompression Chamber for Deep & Remote Diving
Gulf of Guinea Marine Services owns and maintains a containerised 60” dual-lock recompression chamber, surveyed by Lloyd’s, to support deep or remote diving projects.
Compliant with Ghanaian Diving Standards
Under Ghanaian Diving Standards, a recompression facility is recommended for:
Remote diving operations
Operations located more than two hours from a hyperbaric facility. Without a chamber on site, bottom time and productivity can be significantly reduced.
SATURATION DIVING
Gulf of Guinea Marine Services Ltd. offers state-of-the-art saturation diving services, which is a highly effective and secure approach for prolonged underwater activities at considerable depths. This method enables divers to reside and operate for days or even weeks within a pressurized, hyperbaric setting, removing the necessity for extensive decompression after each dive. Rather, divers undergo decompression only once at the conclusion of their work rotation.
BENEFITS SATURATION DIVING
Enhanced Productivity: Divers can operate safely for as long as 8 hours within a 24-hour period, greatly boosting efficiency and accomplishing more tasks.
Operational Versatility: Our two independent, modular, and transportable saturation systems can be deployed via land, sea, or air, enabling us to assist projects in diverse locations. The compact design and adaptable launch configurations of the systems make them ideal for vessels with limited deck space or for use in restricted onshore facilities.
Safety and Compliance: All our saturation diving operations strictly follow the highest industry standards, including those established by IMCA (International Marine Contractors Association) and ABS (American Bureau of Shipping). This guarantees the utmost levels of safety, quality, and reliability for every project.
SURFACE SUPPLIED DIVING
Gulf of Guinea Marine Services Offshore provides expert Surface Supplied Diving services, delivering a dependable and secure solution for various underwater projects. As a certified diving contractor, we ensure that all our equipment is carefully designed and maintained in accordance with the highest industry standards and best practices. This dedication to safety not only safeguards our divers but also ensures outstanding reliability for our clients.
We offer diving support for both inshore marine civil engineering and offshore operations, employing a variety of specialized diving techniques:
Air Diving: This method is effective for shallow to moderate depths and is commonly used for many underwater tasks.
Nitrox Diving: This technique involves a blend of nitrogen and oxygen, with a higher concentration of oxygen than air. It is utilized to prolong bottom time and minimize the risk of decompression sickness within specific depth ranges.
Mixed Gas Diving: For deeper operations, we utilize specialized mixed gases supplied from the surface. This enables our divers to operate safely at depths that exceed the limits of air or nitrox, thereby enhancing the operational capabilities of our team.
